I’d like to write your name in beach sand… big enough to be seen from all the planes in the sky, for passengers to look upon it through clear floors at their feet, and discerning eyes. I’d like to write your name clear and neat for all the people to see who are strolling by to stop and ponder its beauty just as they do the ocean’s salty surface and unfathomable world beneath. I’d like to write your name its honoured worth… and protect it, so storms and feet won’t pummel it; just leave it be so innocent children will ask, “Who is He?” I’d like to write your name in beach sand… each glassy grain to reflect the light of the sun, and every curvaceous glow of the moon. For each eyewitness to cherish it; may they perceive it, accept it, defend and share it. I’d like to write your name on every shore of every land in every language known to man and join hands with generations… And sing out praises from our hearts within, never to be ashamed to celebrate as one family on one earth of a breathtaking You. I’d carve it clear and wide, because it’s grand… your name: Jesus.
